Farkas Bulkmeier and Eugene Skullovitch went through a metamorphosis of their own, emerging from their teenaged punk roles into respectable junior police officers. They went from being the bane of the high school to servants of the community. Throughout the series they offered their very own brand of slapstick humor, and some very memorable attempts at either discovering who the Power Rangers were, or trying to save the world. But what made them most memorable to me is their humanity: in a series that focused on ten extraordinary teenagers, who miraculously managed to maintain their high honor roll grades while saving the world and winning every martial arts/gymnastics/dance/talent competition in Angel Grove and points beyond, Bulk and Skull provided a poignant contrast. They are the Average Joes in a universe made for the exceptional, trying to figure out how they fit in.
